From Shaved Head to Sisterhood: The Story Behind Shop Her Heir

I wasn’t always the woman behind the chair—I was the woman in formation. When I enlisted in the United States Marine Corps, I shaved my hair before boot camp, shedding not just inches but a sacred part of myself. It was a symbol of transformation, a new chapter of discipline, resilience, and purpose.

I was placed in an all-female platoon, 4th Battalion, November Company 4050, where I found a new kind of sisterhood. In the toughest moments, we held each other up—physically, mentally, emotionally. And in the quiet moments, before final drill or before facing the grueling crucible, I picked up my comb again. I styled my sisters-in-arms’ hair, helping them feel strong, polished, and confident before stepping into battle, in whatever form it took.

In those moments, I realized something: Hair was never just about beauty. It was about strength, identity, and the quiet power of preparation. The Marine Corps didn’t just test my endurance—it reignited my passion for supporting others.

Years later, I shaved my head—not out of necessity, but because I understood that hair, like life, is something we shape, redefine, and reclaim on our own terms.

Shop Her Heir was born from that same spirit. It’s not just about selling hair—it’s about equipping women with the confidence, resilience, and empowerment to face whatever battles come their way. Whether you’re stepping into a boardroom, a new phase of life, or just a day where you need to feel your best, I’m here to ensure you do it with strength, grace, and a crown that feels like yours.
